PART TIME GREEN - LED Bulbs : The future looks bright
LED Bulbs : The future looks bright
LED bulbs will last much longer, 50,000 hours

CFL are ok but have some drawbacks,  LED bulbs are a much better long-term alternative. LEDs' advantages include long life, energy efficiency and the fact they do not contain mercury, as opposed to compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs).

Cost Saving LED

This chart comparison is the energy saving replacing a 60 watt incandescent light bulb with an equivalent LED light with a cost of 10 cents a kilowatt hour.

Cost per year for 60 watt = $37.00

Cost for equivalent LED = $3.70

Saving per Year using LED = $33.30

LED bulbs are estimated to last 25 years, significantly longer than compact fluorescent bulbs.
