PART TIME GREEN - Vinegar in the rinse cycle?
Vinegar in the rinse cycle?
This common household product is experiencing a new life as a healthier, toxin-free cleaning solution.

white vinegarAdd plain white vinegar in the rinse aid dispenser of your dishwasher to reduce water spots on dishes and glassware. It also keeps the dishwasher clean and free from odours caused by food particles.

White vinegar is much, much cheaper than buying commercial rinse aid.

If you're not a fan of vinegar, you might look into using these more environmentally friendly rinse aids.

My daughter had my car cleaned in and out, and left the windows rolled up tight. It smelled awful. I put a bowl of vinegar, plain white, full strength and the smell has improved a lot. Let's hear it for the humble vinegar. And it's cheap!!!

I've proved that vinegar is absolutely the best for pet urine odor. I used a store bought product which was highly recommended, on one of the stinky urine spots, and vinegar and water, 50%, on the other and guess what, the smell is all gone from the vinegar one. Still working on the other spot. Viva vinegar! I'm going to try it in the wash.

Vinegar is great for just about everything, including pet urine odors in carpets. With a bit of patience it's just as effective as the much more expensive concoctions you can get at the store. I also find club soda pretty good with stubborn mystery stains on the carpet. Who knew?
