PART TIME GREEN - Cheap Easy way to save money on your water bill
Cheap Easy way to save money on your water bill
lessen the amount of water that is used per flushed

The Toilet Trick

You can do this by changing the tank float.

If you want to save water so that you can save some money on your water bill then you may want to lessen the amount of water that is used per flushed by adjusting the tank float. Adjust it down as far as you can while getting an  satisfactory result per flush.

There are many different styles of floats, in older toilets the float will hang at the end of the armature and with a metal of plastic rod. The arm that connects to the water valve you will find a screw, when you adjust the screw it will change the water level where the water valve shuts off. You may not see a screw or the water cannot go any higher then you have to bend the metal arm. Remove it from the valve or you may risk doing damage to the valve.

In newer toilets, the float is a collar around the fill valve and it will go up and down vertically. The float will have a spring clip that connects to a metal rod that connects to the shut off valve control. Squeeze the spring clip to the slide the float up or down the metal rod.
